Today I attended an early morning tea party at my friend R's house! We all dressed up, brought our favorite teas, and consumed home made snacks. I'm so happy that I have the types of girl friends who can still get together and do fun, classy things like tea parties without feeling like we're too old. Thank you R for hosting!
About a year ago (June 20th to be exact), a group of my friends and I had the idea of collaborating on an art project - a canvas to be exact. Each of us were to contribute a section of art on the canvas and then pass it along to the next person in line. With 18 people on the list and an approximated three days allotted to each person to finish their bit, we expected to be finished a little bit after the school year began. Our SENIOR school year. Today - TODAY - we finished the canvas. It took more than a year! Doesn't help that one of the artists took a good TWO MONTHS to come up with an idea and had the canvas in his possession the entire time *glare at M*.
We came up with the idea of auctioning off the canvas within the group and donating the proceeds to a charity of the winner's choice. Our friend and canvas-idea-creator A bought the canvas for $42!!! It's such a great depiction of the group and our interests and I hope it brings him great memories every time he sets eyes on it! :) Not sure what charity he has chosen, but I'll bet he'll inform us soon!

I ended today with a evening with LARK and our mothers in Los Gatos at Campo de Bocce. We played bocce ball (mothers against daughters) and then enjoyed an excellent Italian dinner! Oh, yeah, the moms won the bocce game. Very shameful for us young adults. Just kidding. A bit. I wanted to cream them. But I guess they DID give birth to us, soooooo they're allowed to win every once in a while... I had spaghetti and meatballs for dinner, and despite the unoriginality of the dish, the meal was AMAZING. I was so stuffed with deliciousness.
All of LARK except for me is leaving next monday for college, so this was a fun last hurrah with our moms :,)
