August 25th:
So at this point in time, I have SLIGHTLY adjusted to life at home without a good portion of my friends, just as they are beginning to settle into their respective colleges. I keep thinking, "Oh, I'm close to ______'s house, I should drop by and say hi!" and then I remember that they're gone... :(
But luckily I've been keeping relatively busy with some of my friends who are still here so I'm not TOO constantly depressed that so many of my friends have abandoned me for life *rolls eyes* ;) I've had the chance to fb chat or text a few of them and I'm happy to report that all have been blessed with agreeable roommates and are slowly making friends and getting used to their surroundings.
I will admit I do feel a little left behind as I watch and read about them all moving forward. I can't help but wish that I was already at SPU, making new friends and getting nervous for classes. Whatever. My time will come~
On another note: I was invited to a small birthday celebration today and was delighted to be included by this new friend <3 I hope her 18th year of life is just as awesome as she is!!
Well, I'm kinda pooped and my bed is lookin' REAL comfy right now, so I think I will give in to its temptations... Keep it classy!
