Tea in the City

September 16th:

Today I went to tea with my mom and two lovely ladies of the S family~ We went to Tal-Y-Tara in San Francisco, which is a Polo Shoppe and Tea Room all in one. Here's their website: http://talytara.com/tea-room/

Well, we parked and walked to the shop (which is located in a residential area of SF, strangely), and soon afterward made our orders with the old man who was apparently the only one there working. He seemed very ill-prepared and frazzled as he bumbled around the little kitchen which is visible from the tea room. I got impatient after about fifteen minutes of us waiting for our tea (I mean, how hard is it to boil water and add tea leaves? - apparently really hard), but tried to keep my cool because he was just an old man :(

When, about thirty minutes later we had not yet received our food I began to get very frustrated, as well as hungry, and worried for my friend who seemed just about to faint out of hunger. Two other adults eventually showed up with groceries (E informed me that they were usually the ones there preparing the tea and food and that they were the man's children) and helped him get our tea biscuits and sandwiches on the table. The tea itself was great and the food was phenomenal, I just wish it hadn't taken SO DANG LONG!!! Despite my semi-bad experience there, I do think I recommend it if you're looking for a tea shop that isn't the classic frilly English tea house.

I got peppermint tea (I only drink mint tea :3):

On another topic: I was thinking today about all the TV shows I would watch if I had the time and I came up with this list:

Veronica Mars
Perception
Alias
Sleepy Hollow
Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Vampire Diaries
Angel
Leverage
NCIS
How I Met Your Mother
....

I'm sure that there are more, but I can't think of them off the top of my head. Any suggestions/comments on my list?

:)

Keep it classy!!
