September 17th:
Today I got to check one more thing off my summer bucket list: finishing my high school scrapbooks. From the summer before 9th grade to graduation, I have ever major event in my life recorded. I began this endeavor in 10th grade I BELIEVE, although it MAY have been during the summer before 11th grade. Literally hundreds of dollars and many, many hours later, I have eight scrapbooks to catalogue those four years of my life.
Not all of it was fun. There are lots of pages I'm not proud of (I threw them together thoughtlessly, didn't take care with spelling/handwriting, or just messed up in some way), but more than I can PROUDLY show to my friends and family :) I don't have any immediate plans of scrapbooking any of my life in the next few years, but I do definitely want to continue taking lots of pictures and making tons of memories that maybe in the future when I'm settled down and have the time/money I can relive those college years~ In the meantime I have a lot of scrapbooking supplies that will lay in wait. No, I'm not giving them away - my mom scrapbooks every once in a while so she can use some, but a lot of it I'll want to save for other crafts.
I had dinner tonight with a very old friend (my best friend in 6th grade) who I haven't talked to in years. She's going to the same college as me - seems like a full circle in some ways! So, that's cool.
Keep it classy, followers.
